Like a Little Prayer

Mindful moments of Gratitude greatly reduce stress. Maybe by 28%, I read somewhere recently. If you can step outside early in the morning, breathe in the fresh air, put your hands together over your heart and say out loud: "gratitude for being alive", you can balance and de-stress. Add whatever comes into your mind; flowers, fresh strawberries, a conflict resolved, words from a loved one....
Gratitude is a good habit. Through your day, whenever you feel a little thrill, maybe for finding something you lost, a smile from a stranger or a job offer, you can close your eyes and whisper thanks.
This doesn't have to be connected to religion although it is spiritual.
